Since we started in 2009, our projects have offered the following benefits:
More than 5,600 volunteers have participated in SEGO Initiative’s Satoumi (e.g., beach cleanups) and Satoyama projects (e.g. organic farming activities) donating more than 19,280 hours and an estimated ¥25,472,500 in time and services.
Experience
Our experience help to put a central focus on the Ocean through learning and experiencing the interconnections between Ocean (Satoumi) and the Land (Satoyama) environments.

15th Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project and the addition of the Clean Sailing Experience Activity (S.E.A) team with Tiwal Japan to remove floating debris offshore.

Continued the Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project and launched SEGO Initiative in addition to cleaning venues like Enoshima Shrine.

The release of the Fujisawa Beach Cleaning project video.
2011
Great East Japan Earthquake took place, with all donations from the Spring 2011 event given to Tohoku communities.
